Grant Application Procedures 
  • Proposals are requested for research studies in a Social Science discipline. The focus of the study must be to inform and thus to enhance the quality of life of those living with these diseases and/or their caregivers.
  • Application packages for this grant are available here.
  • The annual application deadline is the end of February (February 28, 2010).
  • Announcement of the grant award will be made prior to the end of April. Funding will be released following a successful Ethics Review of the proposed research.
Eligibility:  
  • Applications may be submitted by senior undergraduate or graduate students supervised by a university faculty member (at any academic rank).
  • "New Scholars" are also eligible to apply. A new scholar is a faculty member (i) who has held a tenured or tenure-track position for less than 5 years or (ii) who has completed a first doctorate no more than 5 years prior to the application deadline.
  • Eligible research studies will target local or regional community needs and/or strategic planning goals of the Alzheimer Society.
